Lezing op RailsConf Europe 2008 over Rails software metrics

Van 2 tot en met 4 september vindt RailsConf Europe 2008 plaats te Berlijn. Georganiseerd door O’Reilly Media geldt dit congres als het meest autoritaire Europese congres over Ruby on Rails. Op deze conferentie, waar de grootste namen uit de Rails wereld samenkomen, zal directeur Roderick van Domburg een lezing geven over Rails software metrics voor kwaliteitsmanagement van software.
Wat volgt is de Engelstalige abstract van de lezing.
"Line coverage, branch coverage, path coverage, cyclomatic complexity, code coupling, and code cohesion: they may sound as abstract terms, but don’t let that get you! There are a good many gems out there that can help you to measure these attributes of your Ruby on Rails application. We’ll teach you which and how.
Next up is interpretation of these quality measures. What are good scores and what are bad scores? Which attribute should I focus on? We’ll walk you through it and learn how to use computer science to your benefit in Ruby on Rails applications, so that you can improve Ruby on Rails software quality using recognized and most proven techniques that are out there."
